Summer holidays at our  gasteinertal

Bad Gastein, the Monte Carlo from the alps

In the middle of the Hohe Tauern National Park, in the province of Salzburg, lies in fresh mountain air Bad Gastein fog-free at 1,080 m above sea level.
The characteristic townscape, with the beautiful buildings from the "Belle Epoque" blends harmoniously into the natural environment.

MOuntains full of moments

Only a few meters from the restaurant of the mountain station on Stubnerkogel there is a suspension bridge, which provides real thrills: The slightly oscillating rope construction leads visitors from the terrace of the restaurant to the transmitter system.

Here are head for heights and strong nerves when crossing the 140 m long bridge in demand, because this is not only easy swinging, but also translucent.

Adventurous summiteers are only kept away from the approx. 28 m deep abyss by a wire mesh railing.

On the summit of the Stubnerkogel, Wanderer awaits the attractive viewing platform "Glocknerblick", from which you can enjoy a view of the Großglockner (3798 m).
Directly opposite is the 140 m long suspension bridge, which starts gently in the wind
to waver - ideal for height lovers.

The viewing plateau, which consists almost entirely of steel and wood, has a diameter of seven meters. The platform is edged with a translucent wire mesh grid. In order to provide visitors with a view into the depths of the abyss, grid openings were taken into account in the bottom of the platform.

The Felsenweg on the Stubnerkogel is designed as a circular hiking trail, so that the start and end of the hike are approx. 400 m south of the Stubnerkogelbahn mountain station. During the hike on the Felsenweg near Bad Gastein you will be guided through steeper rugged rock areas until you finally reach a striking vantage point.
From there it goes over a short hiking trail back to the Stubnerkogel.

The track is about 100 m long and is hung with a grate floor to the rock. Shorter pieces are provided on the valley side with a back-anchored wooden support wall. The railing was built of wire mesh, so it is translucent.
